    Welcome to the ARDS website.
Working with Indigenous people any where in the world is a massive challenge. They face so many barriers at the cross-cultural and cross language interface. Since 1973, ARDS has worked at the 'cutting edge' of Aboriginal community development work, mainly in the north-east Arnhem Land region of Australia.
    Today our work includes:
  • Community Development Initiatives, work and training
  • Community education in the areas of Aboriginal health, economics, law and other subjects. Delivered through patient educators based in hospitals and educators in the field.
  • Language research and Resource Development
  • Community services, research and advocacy
